It's time for our little guys MRI this month. Just a routine check-up to make sure that there's no tumors forming in the brain. A very necessary and important check-up if you ask me, but as usual, no one does.
The hospital here in our city has now decided that during the weeks 23 - 35, they'll only accept emergency cases, so as things are standing right now, the earliest chance of this follow up will be in September.
There are of course many others who have to wait for their not so important check-ups as well, so chances are that nothing will be done until October or November, as they can't see any reason to give this priority. But who cares? We all know that cancer is very likely to go on vacation for 3-4- or even 5 months, now don't we?
This was meant to be a space for me to deal with My fears and hopes while expecting our little rainbow baby and, my lingering grief for my little Andreas, born way too soon in 2001. Our little miracle arrived in May 2011 and, for a brief period of time, I was the happiest mother in the world...Until the sky came crashing down yet again, when my 7-month-old was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma, a rare form of eye cancer, which can spread to the: Brain, lungs and bones...
