11 years

Sleep, little baby, I’ll plant you a tree,
Your place in the world, a reminder for me,

A tribute to you, Here on the hill,
Where flowers and butterflies are flurrishing still.

Sleep little butterfly,
your spirit is free,
Your cradle’s a kayak,
your tree, your tree
Will be a mast when you're sailing away to a star
Stop! Please come back! it's too far, too far

Wait, wait, the tree is so small,
No more than a seed, just 19 weeks tall,
But the winter has come, there's no life, no glow,
The leaves are falling, on your name in the snow

Wait, little baby, not yet, not yet
Your cheek is so cold and, the mast is set,
Dream little boy, on a cloud in the sky,
The raindrops will sing you a lullaby.

a beautiful song, about a mistake,
Where your laughter was real and, you were awake.
Where your mommy could hold you and, sing you a song,
Hold on little heart, the road is so long,
11 years lonely and somber and, steep,
Hush little dbutterfly, I'll sing you to sleep.

Sleep little babyboy, here on the hill,
I've missed you forever, I always will.
